On
Sunday November 7, 2004 Professionals from New Mexico, Texas and Colorado
turned out in numbers to see and hear one of the most highly respected
portrait artists of our time.
The full day seminar was held at the beautiful South Broadway Cultural Center's 300+ seat auditorium in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
During the seminar Bill McIntosh covered how to create a market for high priced portraits. He also lectured on the technique of making, selling and marketing portraits that would compare favorably with expensive painting. A slide show was presented of some of his exquisite portraits while Mr. McIntosh shared his insights of portrait photography.

A delicious lunch was provided in the afternoon which allowed for fellowship among both the familiar faces as well as the new ones to PPANM. During the afternoon segment Mr. McIntosh demonstrated his lighting with a complete "studio" set-up on the stage. He also showed his style of posing and how he gets the expressions he wants from his subjects during a session. With a little audience participation he showed his technique of posing and lighting for large groups inside a home setting.

There was a print display of Mr. McIntosh's work in addition to a separate display of PPANM member's work, both were available for viewing throughout the course of the seminar. Mr. McIntosh held a book signing during the breaks and he sold out of both his books before the end of the day. Later he also answered questions from attendees. Door prizes were handed out to some lucky members at the end, and a group portrait was then taken to wrap up the event.
Mr. McIntosh gave a fantastic seminar that mesmerized everyone in attendance and made them very glad that they spent the day with him in Albuquerque!
